ABOUT MARLA

Art is my Passion! As a child, books and crayons were essential to my happiness, as well as time spent outdoors, developing a deep love of nature. 

A True Mossback. Moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2012 brought a sense of peace and comfort. After living in nearly every region of the US, I feel like I've come home. The water and mountains here speak to me, much like the fjords for my nordic ancestors.

I learned to see beauty everywhere and today I especially enjoy working with items which have been lost, forgotten, tossed aside, and washed up ... bringing them back to life, so to speak.

No matter the mode, medium, or material, Spirit guides me when I create and it brings me great joy! Sharing with you is also important. Those that have been moved by my work have called it Playful - Transformational and said - It sparks my imagination!
